LinkedGeoData Data Set

The LinkedGeoData data set is a large spatial knowledge base which has been derived from Open Street Map. LinkedGeoData currently describes 320 million nodes and 25 million ways (June 2009).

All files, including previous releases, can be found at http://downloads.linkedgeodata.org. (More information on the legacy data set wiki page.)

Tips

• the full data set is very large and is difficult to query efficiently for most SPARQL endpoints given standard hardware
• the LGD Elements, LGD ontology and DBpedia mapping data sets are loaded in the SPARQL endpoint http://lod.openlinksw.com/sparql in graph http://linkedgeodata.org/
• if you plan to use a local Virtuoso LGD instance, please read http://docs.openlinksw.com/virtuoso/rdfsparqlgeospat.html for geometry related features

License

Most of the LGD data is derived from information collected by the Open Street Map project (http://www.openstreetmap.org) and licensed under the same terms as the OSM data, currently the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 2.0 license.
